Meindýraeyðir Íslands provides pest control, prevention and monitoring for homes, housing associations and businesses of every size. Our services cover household pest control, certified monitoring programmes for businesses and property inspections using modern technology.

Our working hours are 9:00–17:00. We answer the phone around the clock. Emergency call-outs are available outside working hours. An extra charge may apply depending on the time and service.
For homes
Pest control for your home
We provide pest control and prevention for homes, individuals and housing associations. We help you deal with mice, rats, silverfish, wasps, bed bugs and other unwelcome visitors.
The main household pests
We control rodents and wasp nests and handle the small creatures most often found in Icelandic homes, including beetles, moths, spiders and ants. If your pest is not on the list, contact us and we will assess how best to help.
Before you move in
We inspect the property before you move in and assess whether treatment is needed. The method depends on the evidence and circumstances.
Approved products and careful use
We use only approved products permitted for the intended use in Iceland and follow their instructions. Methods and precautions take account of the premises and the people living or working there.
If the job does not require a pest-control professional, we say so plainly and point you towards the right solution free of charge. One phone call often solves the problem.
For businesses
Certified pest management for businesses
We design, install and maintain prevention and monitoring systems for businesses, with monthly management and inspections. The systems reflect the operation and the requirements that apply to it.

We assess the operation and premises, then design a prevention and monitoring system suited to the business and the requirements it must meet.
Installation
We place monitoring stations and controls at suitable locations and document the system from day one so everything is traceable during audits.
Monthly management and inspections
We maintain the system through regular monitoring, records and reports. The documentation is ready whenever an inspector arrives.
Meindýraeyðir Íslands holds all certifications required for commercial pest monitoring in Iceland. Monitoring systems are designed and operated in accordance with GÁMES (HACCP) and BRC Global Standards. We serve food producers, restaurants, hotels, airlines, schools and institutions, among others.
Property inspections
Property inspections using modern technology
We use thermal cameras and moisture meters to detect damp and leaks. We also use drones to locate nests and inspect properties. We carry out condition surveys before you buy or rent and provide a certificate documenting the inspection. The findings cover what was inspected and do not rule out hidden defects.
