Meindýraeyðir Íslands is a family firm where licensed pest-control professionals provide pest control for businesses and homes. The story began not in an office, but with a farmer fighting mice and spiders. That straightforward rural outlook still guides us today.

A farmer has had enough of mice and spiders
Steinar Smári Guðbergsson first encountered pest control in 1998. As a farmer, he had grown tired of mice and spiders in the farmhouse and outbuildings, while products from the shops simply were not enough. He trained and qualified as a certified exterminator and took matters into his own hands.
- 2005
An interest becomes a lifelong profession
What began as an interest grew steadily, and Steinar has worked full time as a certified exterminator since 2005.
- Today
Meindýravarnir Suðurnesja becomes Meindýraeyðir Íslands
The company was originally called Meindýravarnir Suðurnesja. As its customers spread beyond the Suðurnes region, the name changed to reflect its nationwide work. Today Meindýraeyðir Íslands serves businesses in a range of Icelandic industries throughout the country.
